February 2009
The C5 Corvette is now coming into it's own in terms of performance and reliability. Had some initial electrical issues which were frustrating.
The Taupo round we finished second overall for the weekend and are now hoping for the same or better at Pukekohe. After missing one round and four DNF's, we have still managed to climb to 7th in points. We race at Pukekohe February 14th and 15th; Manfeild March 28th and 29th; Hamilton Street Race April 17th, 18th & 19th; Taupo May 9th and 10th.
Willie's keeping a good eye on the valve lash on our SB2 engine which is critical given the .003 cold clearance.

November 2008
Friday November 7th after four and a half months and many hundreds of man hours, the C5 Corvette we imported from Florida was finally ready to test.
Extensive changes have been made to the car since arriving from the USA such as bigger brakes, wheels, new shock package, new aero package along with 38' of new chrome moly to either replace bent tubing or improve the strength of the 1/3 link.
First session was to merely bed in the brakes and give the car a shake down. Couple of issues to be resolved resulted from this and we went back out mid afternoon. Drove the car only about 7 tenths and was very pleased with the performance and lap times. We feel confident with track time and testing, this car will be a front runner. We had wanted to test more but the one part not rebuilt was the diff and unfortunately the Detroit locker started coming apart.
We're very pleased to continue our long standing association with Eagle Automotive. Guess who has a diff to fix, sorry Willie but I know you will get it sorted in time.
First race meeting: Nov 22nd-23rd at Manfeild.
Cheers
